Nice to meet you! My name is Katrin.

My handmade clay art inspired by animals, made in New York City.

I create handmade clay pieces inspired by a lifelong love of making. I am formerly a pastry chef with experience in sculpting. I am drawing this to animals — and most of all to charming, expressive cats — each piece begins as a quiet idea and becomes a tangible form meant to be held, kept, and enjoyed over time. These creations are made to last, inviting connection, curiosity, and a sense of warmth long after they leave my studio.

I approach each design with simplicity and purpose in mind. While every piece has its intended role, it is created to remain useful beyond that first function. The forms are clean, balanced, and versatile — meant to be repurposed, displayed, stored, or incorporated into daily rituals in new ways over time. Rather than feeling temporary, each object is designed to adapt naturally to different spaces and needs.

Thoughtful proportions and refined finishes allow the work to feel both charming and efficient. My goal is to create pieces that integrate seamlessly into everyday life — objects that feel intentional, well-crafted, and worthy of being kept long after they leave my studio.
